Strothmann is one of the best employers in Germany. Based on a scientific employee and management survey, the centre for attractive employment (Zeag GmbH) awards that coveted title to the most attractive employers among German small and medium-sized businesses every year. The “Top Job” seal 2022 is awarded by former vice-chancellor Sigmar Gabriel in the role of the award’s patron. Strothmann impressed the jury with great employee feedback in culture and communication.
The 100-employee Strothmann team, which gave its employer excellent grades in the anonymous questionnaire conducted by “Top Job”, is comparatively young and dynamic for this industry with an average age of only 41 years. This dynamic force is noticeable at all levels, including in the management team, which has many members that rose through the ranks in the company itself. Moreover, any employee who wants to gain a new perspective has the option to move to a different department. This opportunity has led employees, for instance, from Assembly to Design Engineering or from Project Management to Sales. This flexibility ensures continuous development and exchange of know-how that benefits all those involved. Strothmann consistently promotes talent and trains four to seven apprentices in five different professions at any given time. In the past few years, Strothmann strengthened its collaboration with universities, allowing students to gain initial experience in this promising field.
The company also prioritises its employees’ health. This is reflected in the company’s comprehensive health management with the aim of balancing the body and mind. It includes programs ranging from health courses to monthly massages. The Strothmann cup for amateur football players has long gained cult status in the region.
